Salad Days Terms and Conditions

Real Life Market Ts&Cs

STALLHOLDERS:

  • Your place at the makers market isn’t confirmed until we receive payment from you. No exceptions.

  • Once we have received payment from you, your place at the market is non-refundable and non-exchangeable and final. You cannot switch places into a different market date. Absolutely no exceptions.

  • If you miss or forfeit your spot at the market for any reason, including COVID-19, sickness, weather conditions, or missed transport, we are not able to offer a replacement spot at another market date.

  • To take part in our market your business must be fully insured. We will require proof of your insurance in order to be able to take part in the market. If you fail to show us valid insurance you will forfeit your place at the market without refund.

  • Booking a place at our market includes the use of one table, and one table only, which we can supply. We are not able to accommodate any additional equipment. We reserve the right to ask you to move any additional equipment. If you would rather have a rail instead of a table, it needs to be no bigger than 140cm and needs to be agreed by us first. We cannot supply rails, so if you want a rail you’ll need to bring your own.

  • While we try our best to ensure all tables are the same size at the market, we cannot guarantee this. As we hire the tables there will be a variety of sizes available on the day which will vary. Most are around 70cm x 140cm but please check the pack of info we have sent you which will have more specific info in it about table size.

  • We take no responsibility for any equipment we supply to any stallholder during market day; all equipment including tables need to be checked over by the stallholder before they are used. If a stallholder has any safety concerns about any of the equipment supplied these need to be raised immediately, on market day.

  • The safety of everyone at our events is of the upmost importance. Because of the busy nature of our events, and the amount of heavy equipment around, is it not possible for you to have a baby, child or dog with you at your market stall.

  • Any assistant you bring with you on market day should be over 18.

  • Please do not bring any more than one other person with you to man your market stall. There is not enough space to accommodate more than two people per market stall.

  • We take no responsibility for any loss or damage to your stock on the day of the market, including damage, theft or stock loss caused by customers or equipment. Any claims need to be made through your own insurance.

  • We cannot guarantee internet access at every single venue we host markets at, so please make sure you have the ability to hot spot from your phone or device if you need internet access.

  • The market is likely to have food and beverage vendors, as well as a range of other products that may include allergens or ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction. As an attendee of the market it is your responsibility to alert us and stallholders to any allergies you have, and to take the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe.

  • As a vendor taking part in one of our markets, it is your responsibility to alert all customers to any potential allergens your products may include before you serve them. It is your responsibility to ensure you have any allergens clearly labelled at your stall, to ask customers if they have any allergies before you serve them, and to have a list of allergens in products available on market day.

  • All food and beverage providers will need to supply us with proof of their 4* (or above) Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency in order to take part in the event. If you do not supply this to us ahead of the event, you will forfeit your place at the market without refund. We are only able to work with food brands who have a current 4* rating or above.

  • You cannot fix anything to the wall behind or around your market stall. If you cause any damage to the area surrounding your market stall including any damage to the walls, you will need to pay for it to be repaired.

  • You must leave your market stall clean and tidy, in the same condition you receive it, by the agreed time on the day of the market. This includes disposing of your own rubbish, which you may need to take away with you.

  • Taking part in a market does not guarantee you a place at one of our future markets. For each market you wish to take part in, you’ll need to complete and submit a separate application, to be approved by us.

  • We may take videos and photographs at the market to post across our social media and website.

  • Our markets are dog friendly, so it is likely there will be dogs in attendance.
